3: Antarctic Flight Information Manual (AFIM) Discussion Paper [en]
Comments: A detailed review of the format and management aspects of the Antarctic Flight Information Manual (AFIM). The AFIM is a handbook of aeronautical information published by COMNAP [www.comnap.aq] as a tool towards safe air operations in Antarctica as recommended by the XVth Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meeting (ATCM XV, Paris, 1989) in Recommendation XV-20 'Air safety in Antarctica'.
4: Towards Improved Search and Rescue (SAR Coordination and Response in the Antarctic [en]
Comments: A Working Paper submitted to the 32nd Antarctic Treaty Meeting (XXXII ATCM, Baltimore, USA, 2009) by the Council of Managers of National Antarctic Programs (COMNAP [www.comnap.aq]). It puts forward to Antarctic Treaty Parties the conclusions and recommendations expressed by the international workshop 'Towards Improved Search and Rescue Coordination and Response in the Antarctic' (Valparaiso, Chile, 2008).
5: Report of the 2008 Workshop 'Towards Improved SAR Coordination and Response in the Antarctic' [en]
Comments: Report of the international workshop 'Towards Improved Search and Rescue Coordination and Response in the Antarctic' (Para mejorar la coordinación y respuesta de búsqueda y salvamento en la Antártida). Workshop held 12-14 Aug 2008 in Valparaiso / Viña del Mar, Chile, hosted by the Chilean Directorate General of the Maritime Territory and Merchant Marine (DIRECTEMAR [www.directemar.cl]) in collaboration with the Council of Managers of National Antarctic Programs (COMNAP [www.comnap.aq]).
